Volume 7 4 Calibration with FOUNDATION
Fieldbus

4.4.2 Measure Background
Determine the background as described on page 7–679.
4.4.3 Empty Calibration
Carry out the empty calibration as described on page 7–679.
4.4.4 Full Calibration
Go to the function block TRANSDUCER.
Enter the upper calibration point (100%) at LE_LEVEL_HI.
Enter the density of the product to be measured (vessel con-
tent) at LE_PRODUCT_DENSITY in g/cm
3
.
Enter the measuring path at LE_LIN_DIAMETER.
The absorption distance is the radiation path in the product.
Typically, this is the internal diameter of the vessel.
Send the entries to the Uni-Probe.
Select Write table at
LE_TAB_OPCODE to write the values to the
Uni-Probe and to enable the calibration.
The pulse rate for 100% is calculated automatically and displayed
in
LE_LEVEL_LO.
This completes the full calibration.
Tip
A test calculation should be performed after every calibration to
ensure that your calibration data is plausible and the device has
been set up correctly (see section 5.3 on page 7–693).
This completes the one-point calibration.
IMPORTANT
If you change the parameters for the product density or the mea-
suring path in the vessel after calibration you have to enable the
new calibration in LE_TAB_OP_CODE with Write table.
