Enable Ethernet CFM
To enable the Ethernet CFM, use the following commands:
1 Spawn the CFM process. No CFM configuration is allowed until the CFM process is spawned.
CONFIGURATION mode
ethernet cfm
2 Disable Ethernet CFM without stopping the CFM process.

Creating a Maintenance Domain
Connectivity fault management (CFM) divides a network into hierarchical maintenance domains, as shown in
Maintenance Domains.
1 Create maintenance domain.
ETHERNET CFM mode
domain name md-level number
The range is from 0 to 7.
2 Display maintenance domain information.
EXEC Privilege mode
show ethernet cfm domain [name | brief]
