Step 4 Run:
c-bsr interface-type interface-number [ hash-length [ priority ] ]
A C-BSR is configured.
l interface-type interface-number: specifies the interface where the C-BSR is configured. PIM-
SM must be enabled on this interface. On the S9300, VLANIF interfaces and loopback
interfaces can be configured as C-BSRs.
l hash-length: specifies the length of the hash mask. The S9300 performs hash calculation for
the group address of G, address of the C-RP, and hash-length value of the C-RPs with the
same priority and compares the hash values. The C-RP with the greatest hash value becomes
the RP that serves G.
l priority: specifies the candidate priority. In the BSR election, the BSR with the greatest
priority wins. In the case of same priority, the BSR with the largest IP address wins.
Step 5 (Optional) Run:
auto-rp listening enable
The S9300 is configured to listen to Auto-RP messages.
By default, The S9300 is not configured to listen to Auto-RP messages.

4.4.6 Checking the Configuration
Prerequisite
The configuration of basic PIM-SM functions is complete.
Procedure
l Run the display pim interface [ interface-type interface-number | up | down ]
[ verbose ] command to check the PIM information on the interface.
l Run the display pim neighbor [ interface interface-type interface-number | neighbor-
address ] [ verbose ] command to check the information about a PIM neighbor.
l Run the display pim routing-table [ group-address [ mask { group-mask-length | group-
mask } ] ] [ source-address [ mask { source-mask-length | source-mask } ] ] [ incoming-
interface { interface-type interface-number | register } ] [ outgoing-interface { include |
exclude | match } { interface-type interface-number | register | none } ] [ mode { dm |
sm | ssm } ] [ flags flag-value ] [ fsm ] command to check the PIM multicast routing table.
l Run the display pim rp-info [ group-address ] command to check the RP information in
the PIM-SM domain.
l Run the display pim bsr-info command to check the BSR information in the PIM-SM
domain.
