Context
CAUTION
Statistics on PIM control messages on an interface cannot be restored after you clear them. So,
confirm the action before you run the command.
Procedure
l Run the reset pim control-message counters [ interface interface-type interface-
number in the user view to clear statistics on PIM control messages on an interface.

Context
During routine maintenance, you can run the following commands in any view to understand
the running status of PIM-SM.
Procedure
l Run the display pim claimed-route [ source-address ] command to check the unicast
routing information that PIM uses.
