4.5.3 Configuring the Rules for Filtering Multicast Source

Prerequisite
The ACL filtering rules are created.

Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
pim
The PIM view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
source-policy acl-number
The S9300 is set to forward only the multicast packets with the source addresses that pass the
filtering.
A filter closer to the multicast source filters packets more effectively.

4.5.4 Checking the Configuration
Prerequisite
The configuration of basic PIM-DM functions and the setting of the parameters for controlling
a multicast source are complete.
Procedure
l Run the display pim interface [ interface-type interface-number | up | down ]
[ verbose ] command to check the PIM information on the interface.
l Run the display pim routing-table [ group-address [ mask { group-mask-length | group-
mask } ] ] [ source-address [ mask { source-mask-length | source-mask } ] ] [ incoming-
interface { interface-type interface-number | register } ] [ outgoing-interface { include |
exclude | match } { interface-type interface-number | register | none } ] [ mode { dm |
sm | ssm } ] [ flags flag-value ] [ fsm ] command to check the PIM multicast routing table.
