6.8.1 Checking the Multicast Routes
Context
When data transmission is abnormal, you can ping related multicast addresses to check the
multicast routes.
Procedure
l Run the ping multicast -i interface-type interface-number [ -c count | -m time | -p
pattern | -q | -s packetsize | -t timeout | -tos tos-value | -v ]

reserved group addresses.
l Run the ping multicast [ -c count | -h ttl-value | -m time | -p pattern | -q | -s packetsize | -

Context
When a fault occurs during data transmission, run the following commands to check RPF paths
and multicast paths.
