Context
CAUTION
Statistics on MSDP cannot be restored after you clear them. Therefore, confirm the action before
you run the command.
Procedure
l Run the reset msdp peer [ peer-address ] command to reset the TCP connection between
the S9300 and the specified MSDP peer and clear all the statistics on the specified MSDP
peer.
l Run the reset msdp statistics [ peer-address ] command to clear the statistics on one or
more MSDP peers without resetting MSDP peers.

5.8.2 Clearing the (S, G) Information in the SA Cache
Context
CAUTION
The (S, G) information in the SA cache cannot be restored after you clear it. Therefore, confirm
the action before you run the command.
Procedure
l Run the reset msdp sa-cache [ group-address ] command to clear the (S, G) entries of
MSDP in the SA cache.

5.8.3 Monitoring the Running Status of MSDP
Context
During routine maintenance, you can run the following commands in any view to understand
the running status of MSDP.
Procedure
l Run the display msdp brief [ state { connect | down | listen | shutdown | up } ] command
to view the brief information about the status of the MSDP peer.
l Run the display msdp peer-status [ peer-address ] command to check the detailed
information about the status of the MSDP peer.
