CAUTION
l Before setting the forwarding mode of multicast data in a VLAN, disable IGMP snooping
in the VLAN. After setting the forwarding mode, enable IGMP snooping in the VLAN for
the configuration to take effect.
l When the forwarding in the VLAN is based on the MAC address, the IGMP message
version cannot be set to IGMPv3.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
vlan vlan-id
The VLAN view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
l2-multicast forwarding-mode { ip | mac }
The multicast flows in the VLAN are forwarded based on IP addresses or MAC addresses.
By default, multicast flows are forwarded based on IP addresses.

1.6.5 (Optional) Configuring a Static Router Interface
Context
On a network whose topology seldom changes, if a host needs to receive certain multicast packets
for a long time, you can configure the interface on the S9300 as a static router interface.
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
The interface can be a GE interface, an Ethernet interface, or an Eth-Trunk interface. It is the
interface that connects the S9300 to the upstream router.
Step 3 Run:
igmp-snooping static-router-port vlan { { vlan-id [ to vlan-id ] } &<1-10> }
