Procedure
l Enabling the function of tracking a downstream neighbor globally
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
pim
The PIM view is displayed.
3. Run:
hello-option neighbor-tracking
The function of tracking a downstream neighbor is enabled.
l Enabling the function of tracking a downstream neighbor on an interface
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
On the S9300, VLANIF interfaces and loopback interfaces support PIM.
3. Run:
pim hello-option neighbor-tracking
The function of tracking a downstream neighbor is enabled.

4.7.5 Checking the Configuration
Prerequisite
The setting of the neighbor control parameters is complete.
Procedure
l Run the display pim interface [ interface-type interface-number | up | down ]
[ verbose ] command to check the PIM information on the interface.
l Run the display pim neighbor [ interface interface-type interface-number | neighbor-
address ] [ verbose ] command to check the information about a PIM neighbor.

Example
Run the display pim interface vlanif 15 verbose command, and you can view the PIM
information on VLANIF 15.
<Quidway> display pim interface vlanif 15 verbose
