Huawei Quidway S9300

l The configuration on an interface is valid only for the specified interface. The configuration
on an interface takes precedence over the global configuration. If the forwarding control
parameters are not set on the interface, the global configuration is used.
NOTE
The interval for S9300 sending Join or Prune messages is applicable only to the ASM model.
Procedure
l Setting the forwarding control parameters globally
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
pim
The PIM view is displayed.
3. Run:
holdtime join-prune interval
The holdtime of the Join or Prune state of a downstream interface is set.
The pruned interface restores the forwarding after timeout. If the S9300 receives a
State-Refresh message before timeout, the S9300 restarts the timing. By default, the
downstream interface keeps the Join or Prune state for 210 seconds.
4. Run:
timer join-prune interval
The interval for sending Join/Prune messages is set.
By default, the S9300 sends a Join or Prune message every 60 seconds.
l Setting the forwarding control parameters on an interface
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
On the S9300, VLANIF interfaces and loopback interfaces support PIM.
3. Run:
pim holdtime join-prune interval
The holdtime the Join or Prune state of a downstream interface is set.
The pruned interface restores the forwarding after holdtime times out. If the S9300
receives a State-Refresh message before timeout, the S9300 restarts the timing. By
default, the downstream interface keeps the Join or Prune state for 210 seconds.
4. Run:
pim timer join-prune interval
The interval for sending Join/Prune messages is set.
