Configuring the industrial router for connection to the Internet using a DSL modem
The picture below shows how to connect the mbNET industrial router to a client PC over the Internet, using a
DSL modem. The client needs to use an existing Internet connection, or to set one up.
Connecting and configuring the router
Before you begin:
The router must already be connected to a suitable power source and the Power and Ready
LEDs must both be solid green.
Connecting the router
Connect the router to the DSL modem as shown in the diagram on the right.
Plug one end of the straight-through Ethernet cable into the LAN connector (1) of the DSL modem and the
other end (2) into the WAN connector on the router.
