Appendix D Formatting of Magnetic
Optical Disk
Use the Disk Administrator tool of Windows for formatting a magnetic optical (MO) disk. Note that this tool can
be used only by a person who have the authority of Administrator.
1. Click the <start> button at the bottom of the Windows screen.
2. When the [start] menu is displayed, select commands [Programs] - [Administrative Tools (Common)] - [Disk
Administrator]. The window as shown below appears.

3. Select the MO disk drive in the [Disk Administrator] window.
The drive to which the MD disk is assigned is variable depending on
computers.
