The installation of the steering cable to the steer-
ing column is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure. However, pay attention to the following.

Adjusting the Steering Cable
1. Steering cable adjustment is required only if:
– A steering cable end ball joint has been re-
placed or loosened/tightened.
– Steerin
g cable adjustment nut has been loos-
ened/ti
ghtened.
– Steering cable has been replaced.
– Steering column or support has been re-
placed.
2. Lock the jet pump nozzle position b y installing
a 10 mm (3/8 in) rod through the trimming ring
as the following illustration.
