Connecting to the Point of Demarcation
Most main distribution frames are designed with a network demarcation block. You must cross-
connect the MDF to the incoming trunks. Use a standard wiring tool for laying the cable wires.
Connecting to T1, PRI, or CorNet

Before installing the outgoing lines, the grounding of the system must be ensured.
NOTE
The DIU2U and DIUT2 boards can only be installed in conjunction with a listed CSU (channel
service unit).
NOTE
Danger of damage to property due to surge voltage. Lines from the following boards that exit
the building must be protected with an additional primary protection against surge voltage as
a result of lightning:
● DIU2U*
● DIUT2*
● SLMA / SLMA8
● TMC16
● TMDID
● TMEW2
● TM2LP
* When this board is connected to the public network, an additional primary protection must
be provided by the CSU.
