orreplacethebags,thenre-packtheunitaccordingtothepackinginstructions.
7Ifaboxhasbeenopened,makesurethatisitclosedandsealedaftertheinspection.
Usetheoriginalpackingmaterialasfaraspossible.
8Thestorageroom/areamustbedrywithanon-condensingatmosphere.Itmustbefree
fromcorrosiveagents.
9Thestorageroom/area’smeantemperaturemustnotbelowerthan-10°C,andnot
warmerthan+50°C.Ifotherlimitationsapply,thecrateswillbemarkedaccordingly.
10Boxesmustnotbeexposedtomoisturefromuidleakages.
11Boxesmustnotbeexposedtodirectsunlightorexcessivewarmthfromheaters.
12Boxesmustnotbesubjectedtoexcessiveshockandvibration.
13Iftheunitcontainedinaboxholdsnormalbatteries,thesemayhavebeen
disconnected/isolatedbeforetheunitwaspacked.Thesemustonlybereconnected
beforetheinstallationstarts.Unitscontainingbatteriesaremarked.
Caution
Unitscontaininglithiumoralkalinebatteriesmustbehandledseparatelyandwithcare.
Suchunitsaremarkedaccordingly.Donotattempttorechargesuchbatteries,openthem,
ordisposeofthembyincineration.
Refertotheapplicableproductdatasheetsorbatteryhandlingproceduresforfurther
details.
Temperatureprotection
Anyunitsthatrequiresprotectionagainstextremetemperaturesareidentiedassuchin
theapplicabledocumentation.Theboxusedtotransportandstoresuchunitsareclearly
marked,forexample:
Mustnotbetransportedorstoredintemperaturesbelow-5°Celsius.
Othertemperaturelimitsmaybeusedifapplicable.
Ifaunitneedstemperatureprotection,theboxtobeusedforstorageandtransportationmust
belinedonallwalls,baseandlid,usingminimum5cmthickpolyurethaneorpolystyrene
foam.
Mostsystemunitscannormallybestoredintemperaturesbetween-30°Cand+70°C.Refer
