connectedtotheACmains,orfromasuitablebatteryforDCoperation.Theunitmustbe
properlygrounded.
Prerequisites
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethenormal
toolsforcableinstallation,suchasdifferentscrewdrivertypes,pliers,acablestripperanda
solderingiron.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.Werecommendthatalltools
aredemagnetizedtoprotectyourequipment.Dependingonthetasksathand,additional
toolsmayberequired.
Context
ThemainsvoltagefortheWideBandTransceiver(WBT)is230V ACprovidedbya
separatepowersupply.Itisnormallyconnectedtoanuninterruptiblepowersupply,andwill
automaticallydetectthemainsvoltage(230or115V AC)whenconnected.Theoutputfrom
thepowersupplyisconnectedtothe+12VDCinputsocketontheWideBandTransceiver
(WBT).Thecabinetisconnectedtovesselground.Twocablesareused.
PowersupplywithACmainscable
ThepowersupplyandbothpowercablesareprovidedwiththeEK80delivery.
Groundingcable
Thiscablemustbeprovidedbytheinstallationshipyard.
