MountingtheWBTCabinet
TheWBTCabinetisacustomized19"-inchinstrumentrackttedwithpowerfulshock
absorbers.Thecabinetcancontainmaximumsevencustomdrawers,andeachofthesewill
holdoneWideBandTransceiver(WBT)anditspowersupply.AnEthernetswitchanda
powerdistributorpanelareincludedthebottomofthecabinet.Thecabinetisnormally
installedina"sonarroom"withshortdistancetothetransducers.

bracket(s)tomakeinstallation
easier,and/or"U"shaped
prolestomakemorespace
forcablesunderthecabinet.
Weassumethatyouareequippedwithastandardset
oftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethenormaltools
forelectronicandelectromechanicaltasks,suchas
screwdrivers,pliers,spanners,acablestripperetc.Each
toolmustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.Werecommend
thatalltoolsaredemagnetizedtoprotectyourequipment.
Thefollowingspecictoolsarerequiredforthistask:
•Powerdrill
•Weldingequipment
WerecommendthatyouinstalltheWBTCabinetbefore
youinstalltheWBTDrawersandthetransceivers.
Context
Thecabinetismountedontheshockabsorbers.Itis
mountedonthedeck,andsecuredagainstabulkhead.
Alternatively,youcanplaceitnexttoothersimilar
cabinets,andusetheseforsupport.
Ifrequiredforeasiercableaccess,thecabinetcanbe
liftedupfromthedeckbyplacing"U"shapedsteel
prolesundertheshockabsorbers.Additionaldistance
fromthebulkheadcanbeobtainedbydesigningand
installingsuitablemountingbrackets.
Theinstallationofthecabinetmustbeplannedand
preparedbytheinstallationshipyardinclosecooperation
withtheenduser.Relevantinstallationdrawingswithmountingdetailsmustbeprovided
bytheshipyard.
