EK80Widebandscienticechosounder.TheEK80ProcessorUnitmustbeconnectedto
ACmains,anditmustbeproperlygrounded.
Prerequisites
Youmustbeequippedwithastandard
setoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprise
thenormaltoolsforcableinstallation,
suchasdifferentscrewdrivertypes,
pliers,acablestripperandasoldering
iron.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedin
varioussizes.Werecommendthatall
toolsaredemagnetizedtoprotectyour
equipment.Dependingonthetasksat
hand,additionaltoolsmayberequired.
Context
ThemainsvoltagefortheEK80
ProcessorUnitis115or230V AC,and
itwillautomaticallysensethecurrent
supplyvoltage.
Twocablesareused.
•ACmainscable:ThiscableisprovidedwiththeEK80delivery.
•Groundcable:Thiscablemustbeprovidedbytheinstallationshipyard.
Procedure
1LocatethepowerinputandthegroundconnectorsontherearsideofyourProcessor
Unit.
2ConnecttheACmainscablefromtheProcessorUnittothebulkheadmainssocketor
theUninterruptiblePowerSupply(UPS).
Astandardmainssocket(identiedwiththearrow)isprovidedontherearsideof
theProcessorUnit.
3Connectthegroundingcablefromthenearestgroundingpointtotherelevantcontact
pointorsocketontherearsideoftheProcessorUnit.
Adedicatedgroundingpoint(identiedwiththearrow)isprovidedontherearsideof
theProcessorUnit.
4Connectthegroundingcabletovessel'sgroundinthefusebox(orothercommon
groundingpoint).
