Specicationsforstorageafterunpacking
Theunitmustwheneverpossiblebestoredinitsoriginaltransportationcrateuntilready
forinstallation.
Generalspecications
Duringstorage,eachboxmustnotbeusedforanypurposeforwhichitwasnotintended
(workplatform,table,stepsetc.).
Onceunpacked,allequipmentmustbekeptinadry,noncondensingatmosphere,freefrom
corrosiveagentsandisolatedfromsourcesofvibration.
Note
Donotbreakthesealtoopenacircuitboardpackagebeforetheboardistobeused.Ifthe
boardpackageisreturnedtoKongsbergMaritimewiththesealbroken,wewillassumed
thattheunithasbeenused,andtheyouwillbebilledaccordingly.
Eachunitmustbeinstalledinitsintendedoperatingpositionassoonaspossibleafter
unpacking.Iftheunitcontainsnormalbatteries,thesemayhavebeendisconnected/isolated
beforetheunitwaspacked.Thesemustthenbereconnectedduringtheinstallation
procedure.Unitscontainingbatteriesaremarked.
Caution
Unitscontaininglithiumoralkalinebatteriesmustbehandledseparatelyandwithcare.
Suchunitsaremarkedaccordingly.Donotattempttorechargesuchbatteries,openthem,
ordisposeofthembyincineration.
