notneedtomakeachoicehere.Youcanselectyourpredenedusersettingatanytime
bymeansoftheUserSettingsdialogboxontheMainmenu.
6OncetheEK80programhasstarted,observethatthepresentationllstheentirescreen.
TheEK80startsupusingthesamesettingsasthelasttimeyouusedit.Ifthesesettings
areacceptable,continueoperation.Ifyouwishtoalteranyofthesettings,seethe
relevantprocedures.
Obtainingandinstallingthesoftwarelicense
IfyourEK80shalloperatewithaWideBandTransceiver(WBT),youwillneedavalid
license.BeforeyoucanusetheEK80youmustobtaina"licensestring"andinstalliton
yourProcessorUnit.WithoutalicenseyouwillnotbeabletocommunicatewiththeWide
BandTransceiver(WBT).

ThisprocedureassumesthattheEK80softwarehasbeeninstalledontheProcessorUnit.

ThisprocedureisonlyvalidifyourEK80shalloperatewithaWideBandTransceiver(WBT).
InordertoobtainasoftwarelicenseforyourEK80,youmustcontactaSimraddealersor
distributor.Youcanalsousetherequestformonhttp://www.simrad.com/support,orcontact
oursupportdepartmentdirectly.
Thesoftwarelicenseis32characterhexadecimalstringbuiltfromthetransceiver’sserial
number.Itdenesseveralkeyparametersthatcontrolsthefunctionalityandbehaviourof
thetransceiver(s)youuse.ThesoftwarelicenseisnotlinkedtothephysicalProcessor
