AdisplayisarequiredpartoftheEK80Widebandscienticechosounder.Thedisplay
mustbeconnectedtoACmains,anditmustbe–ifspeciedbythemanufacturer–properly
grounded.
Prerequisites
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethenormal
toolsforcableinstallation,suchasdifferentscrewdrivertypes,pliers,acablestripperanda
solderingiron.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.Werecommendthatalltools
aredemagnetizedtoprotectyourequipment.Dependingonthetasksathand,additional
toolsmayberequired.
Context
Themainsvoltageforthedisplayisdenedbythemanufacturer.Refertotherelevant
documentationortheidenticationplateonthedisplaycabinet.Inmanycasesthedisplay
willberatedfor115or230V AC,anditwillautomaticallysensethecurrentsupplyvoltage.
ThedisplayisnormallyconnectedtotheUninterruptiblePowerSupplyforACmains.
Twocablesareused.
•ACmainscable:ThiscableisprovidedwiththeEK80delivery.
•Groundcable:Thiscablemustbeprovidedbytheinstallationshipyard.
Procedure
1Locatethepowerinputandthegroundconnectorontherearsideofyourdisplay.
Agroundconnectorisonlyprovidedifthedisplaymanufacturerhaschosento
implementit.
2VerifythatthedisplayisratedforyourACmainspower.
3ConnecttheACmainscablefromthedisplaytothebulkheadmainssocketorthe
UninterruptiblePowerSupply(UPS).
