Theidenticationcodesshouldbepositionedonthecableinsuchawaythattheyarereadily
visibleafterallpanelshavebeentted.
Inaddition,eachcableconductorshouldbemarkedwiththeterminalboardnumberor
sockettowhichitisconnected.

Cableglandsareusedtoattachandsecuretheendofacabletotheequipment.Cableglands
mayalsobeusedforsealingcablespassingthroughbulkheadsorglandplates.
Aboutcableglands
Cableglandsareusedwheneveracablepassesthroughawatertightbulkheadorintoa
cabinet,tosealtheopeningthroughwhichthecablepassesandtoprotectthecablefrom
abrasionontheedgesofthehole.
Therearemanydifferenttypesofcableglandonthemarket.Thecableglandsarenot
suppliedwiththesystem.

cableglands,theinstallationshipyardwillberesponsibleforselectingcableglandtypes
andinstallingthem.

designedtoattachandsecuretheendofacabletotheequipment.Acablegland
providesstrain-reliefandconnectsbyameanssuitableforthetypeanddescriptionof
cableforwhichitisdesigned—includingprovisionformakingelectricalconnectionto
thearmourorbraidandleadoraluminiumsheathofthecable,ifany.Cableglands
mayalsobeusedforsealingcablespassingthroughbulkheadsorglandplates.

non-metallicmaterials.Theyareusedthroughoutanumberofindustriesinconjunction
