5.4.4 Sterilize/disinfect the suction handpieces
Sterilization/disinfection
All parts of the suction handpieces can be sterilized and thermally
disinfected.
Lubricating suction handpieces
The disconnection points of the suction handpieces must be lubricated
once a week and after each thermal disinfection or sterilization process.
Grease
No surgical suction device option
1. Detach the handpiece of the spray aspirator and the saliva ejector
from the suction hoses.
2. Detach the rotary joint of the handpiece from the spray aspirator.
3. Regrease the disconnection points and O rings of the handpieces.

CAUTION
Unsuitable greases
Greases that are not food safe may endanger the patient's health
Rubber materials such as e.g. O-rings are corroded by unsuitable
greases.
➢ Do not under any circumstances use vaseline or silicone greases.
➢ Use only greases approved by Sirona.
