10.1 Oil Specs and Resets
Oil Specs and Resets provides up-to-date OEM information on your diagnostic tool,
via wireless network connection with our Snap-on Information Service. This feature
allows you to quickly access the following OEM information:
• Engine oil service reset procedures
• Engine oil specifications
In addition, you can perform engine oil service resets using the diagnostic tool (if
supported).
— Oil Specs and Resets coverage includes domestic and import cars,
light trucks, and vans. Coverage is limited to vehicles sold through
dealerships only in the United States.
— All vehicles may not have on-board diagnostic tool reset capabilities,
or information available.
— If you experience a wireless connection loss, the Oil Specs and Resets
function may stop. To continue use, you must re-establish your Internet
connection.
The information and procedures provided by the Oil Specs and Resets function is
vehicle specific, therefore a vehicle must be identified before information can be
displayed.
