Charging System: 1J-7
• Apply molybdenum oil solution to the starter idle gear
shaft hole.
M/O: Molybdenum oil (MOLYBDENUM OIL
SOLUTION)
• Install the dowel pins (5) and new gasket (6).
CAUTION
!
Use a new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Apply a small quantity of grease to the clutch push rod
cap and clutch push rod.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE A or equivalent)
• Install the generator cover and tighten the generator
cover bolts.
WARNING
!
Be careful not to pinch the finger between the
generator cover and the crankcase.
CAUTION
!
• Fit the new gasket washer to the bolts (7).
• Fit the clamp to the bolt (8).
• Fit the clutch cable stopper (9) to the bolts.
• Tighten the speed sensor bolt (10) to the specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Speed sensor bolt (d): 4.5 N·m (0.45 kgf-m, 3.0
lbf-ft)
• Route the wiring harness. Refer to “Wiring Harness
Routing Diagram in Section 9A (Page 9A-5)”.
• When installing the clutch release arm, align the
punch mark “C” of clutch release arm with slit “D” of
camshaft.
