Suzuki SFV650 - Transmission Oil Seal; Bearing Removal and Installation

5B-10 Manual Transmission:
Bearing
Rotate the bearing inner race by finger to inspect for
abnormal play, noise and smooth rotation while the
bearings are in the crankcase.
Replace the bearing if there is anything unusual. Refer
to “Transmission Oil Seal / Bearing Removal and
Installation (Page 5B-10)”.

Removal
1) Remove the transmission assembly. Refer to
“Transmission Removal and Installation (Page 5B-
3)”.
2) Remove the clutch push rod oil seal (1) and shift
shaft oil seal (2).
3) Remove the driveshaft oil seal (3) with the special
tool.
Special tool
(A): 09913–50121 (Oil seal remover)
4) Remove the bearings from the left crankcase with
the special tool.
Special tool
(B): 09921–20240 (Bearing remover set)
5) Remove the bearing retainers (4) from right
crankcase.
