2. Switch the main circuit breaker to the OFF position, to de-energize the electrical
system.
3. Slide the battery into the battery compartment with the negative post to the rear.
4. Install the battery retainer and torque the bolt to 24 Nm (210 in-lb).
5. Install the left foot platform panel.
6. Connect the positive battery cable to the positive battery post first.
7. Connect the negative battery cable to the negative battery post last.
8. Apply dielectric grease to the battery terminals to prevent corrosion.
9. Ensure that the rubber boots are placed over positive and negative cable ends
and battery posts.
