WARNING
An improperly adjusted neutral switch can result in erratic engine cranking or
unsafe machine movement. Check the neutral switch position after any
adjustment is made to the neutral position.
17. Adjustments made to the neutral position bolt may affect the neutral switch
setting. After changing the neutral setting, it is possible that the power unit will not
start due to the neutral switch being out of adjustment. After any adjustments are
made to the neutral position, the neutral switch should be checked and, if
necessary, adjusted; refer to Adjusting the Neutral Switch , page 7–9.

1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower any attachments to the ground,
engage the parking brake, and remove the key from the ignition.
