Installing the 3–Point Hitch Lift Cylinder
1. Install the hydraulic fittings into the cylinder as required. Lubricate the new O-
rings with clean hydraulic fluid; refer to Installing the Hydraulic Fittings (SAE
Straight Thread O-Ring Fittings), page 5–12. Ensure that the fittings are
orientated correctly.
2. Position the 3–point hitch lift cylinder in the chassis aligning the mounting holes,
install the mounting bolts Figure 41, item 1.
3. Remove the caps and plugs that were installed to the hydraulic hoses. Lubricate
and install the new O-rings, connect the hydraulic hoses Figure 41, item 3 to the
fittings Figure 41, item 2 on the lift cylinder. Tighten the hose connections; refer to
Installing the Hydraulic Hoses and Tubes (O-Ring Face Seal), page 5–10.
4. Lubricate the lift cylinder grease fittings.
5. Check the hydraulic systems for leaks and add hydraulic fluid to the system as
required.
