Removing the Front Hydraulic Motor (continued)
5. Install clean caps or plugs on the hydraulic hoses and fittings to prevent
contamination.
6. Remove the front hydraulic motor mounting bolts
.
7. Remove the front hydraulic motor and O-ring
from the machine.
8. Cover the opening in the front transaxle to prevent contamination.
9. If the hydraulic fittings are to be removed from the hydraulic motor, mark the
fitting orientation, and remove the fittings from the motor and discard the O-rings
from the fittings.
Installing the Front Hydraulic Motor
1. Install the hydraulic fittings into the front hydraulic motor as required. Lubricate
the new O-rings with clean hydraulic fluid; refer to Installing the Hydraulic Fittings
(SAE Straight Thread O-Ring Fittings), page 5–12. Ensure that the fittings are
oriented correctly.
2. Install a new O-ring Figure 30, item 1 onto the hydraulic motor.
3. Remove the cover from the transaxle.
4. Position the hydraulic motor in the machine against the transaxle and install the
mounting bolts Figure 30. item 2.
5. Remove the caps and plugs that were installed on the hydraulic hoses. Lubricate
and install the new O-rings, connect the hydraulic hoses to the fittings on the front
hydraulic motor. Tighten the hose connections; refer to Installing the Hydraulic
Hoses and Tubes (O-Ring Face Seal), page 5–10.
6. Install the hydraulic oil temperature sensor Figure 30, item 3 in the motor, and
connect the sensor to the wiring harness.
7. Add hydraulic fluid to the system.
8. Remote filter the hydraulic system; refer to Remote Filtering the Hydraulic
System, page 5–3.
9. Check the hydraulic system for leaks and add hydraulic fluid to the system as
required.
