Removing the Hydraulic Pump (continued)
10. Install clean caps or plugs on the hydraulic hoses and fittings to prevent
contamination.
11. Remove the hydraulic pump mounting bolts
and remove the pump from the
machine.
12. Remove the suction hose from the hydraulic pump. Remove and discard O-rings
from the fittings.
13. Label and mark the orientation of the hydraulic fittings on the hydraulic pump.
Remove the fittings and discard the O-rings.
Installing the Hydraulic Pump
1. Install the hydraulic fittings into the pump as required, lubricate the new O-rings
with clean hydraulic fluid; refer to Installing the Hydraulic Hoses and Tubes (O-
Ring Face Seal), page 5–10. Ensure that the fittings are oriented correctly.
2. Install the suction hose Figure 32, item 3 onto the hydraulic pump, lubricate the
new O-rings with clean hydraulic fluid.
3. Position the new pump into the machine aligning the mounting holes and install
the mounting bolts Figure 32, item 2.
4. Install the bearing and mounting bolt Figure 32, item 1 onto the neutral assist
bracket.
5. Remove the caps and plugs that were installed on the hydraulic hoses. Lubricate
and install the new O-rings, connect the hydraulic hoses to the fittings on the
hydraulic pump. Tighten the hose connections; refer to Installing the Hydraulic
Hoses and Tubes (O-Ring Face Seal), page 5–10.
6. Connect the suction hose to the hydraulic filter head.
7. Add hydraulic fluid to the system.
8. Install the drive shaft; refer to Removing and Installing the Drive Shaft, page 4–
19.
9. Install the radiator; refer to 4520P Installing the Radiator, page 4–16.
10. Remote filter the hydraulic system; refer to Remote Filtering the Hydraulic
System, page 5–3.
11. Check the hydraulic system for leaks and add hydraulic fluid to the system as
required.
