Installing the SDLA Spool Valve (continued)
6. Check the hydraulic system for leaks and add hydraulic fluid to the system as
required.
7. Install the lower frame cover.
Replacing the SDLA Spool Valve Float Detent
CAUTION
Before opening the hydraulic system, operate all the hydraulic controls to
release system pressure and avoid injury from the pressurized hydraulic fluid;
refer to Relieving Pressure from the Hydraulic System, page 5–2.

Mounting bolts
1. Remove any attachments from the machine, park the machine on a level surface,
engage the parking brake, remove the key from the ignition, and switch the main
circuit breaker to the O
FF position.
2. Remove the lower frame cover; refer to Removing and Installing the Lower
Frame Cover, page 7–18.
3. Remove the SDLA spool valve
as required; refer to Removing the SDLA Spool
Valve, page 5–26.
4. Remove the two mounting bolts
, pull the spool from the valve, and discard
the o-ring
.
5. Install the o-ring on the new spool, install the spool into valve. Torque the
mounting bolts to 6 Nm (53 in-lb).
6. Install the SDLA spool valve as required; refer to Installing the SDLA Spool Valve,
page 5–27.
7. Start the engine and move the SDLA in and out of float while checking for leaks.
8. Install the lower frame cover.
