Remote Filtering the Hydraulic System (continued)
Note: The remote filter has a one way check valve that will only allow the oil to flow in
one direction. If the hydraulic system makes an abnormal amount of noise when
moving the SDLA lever rearward, or if the engine stalls or tries to stall, then move the
SDLA lever forward approximately one half of its full travel.
5. Release the parking brake, move the SDLA lever rearward approximately one
half of its full travel. Continue to run the engine and hold the SDLA in position for
10 minutes.
6. Return the SDLA lever to the neutral position, set the engine speed to idle, and
shut down the machine.
7. Allow the hydraulic system to cool. Remove the high pressure filter and connect
the hose from the front motor to the rear motor; refer to Installing the Hydraulic
Hoses and Tubes (O-Ring Face Seal), page 5–10.
8. Check the hydraulic oil level and add fluid as needed.
9. Start the engine and set the engine speed between 2,000 and 2,500 RPM. Move
the SDLA lever to approximately one half of its full travel and allow the machine to
run for five minutes.
10. Check the hoses and fittings for leaks.
11. Set the high/low shifter and the neutral assist lever to the desired position.
12. Remove the wheel chocks.
