4520P Installing the Radiator
1. Position the radiator in the machine ensuring the radiator is fully seated in the
isolator mounts.
2. Install the radiator mounting bolts.
3. Connect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
4. Fill the radiator with coolant refer to the 4520P Operator’s Manual.
5. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks. Repair any leaks as required.
6. Continue to run the engine to allow the engine to reach operating temperature.
Check the coolant level and adjust as necessary.
7. Install the left and right engine covers; refer to Removing and Installing the
Engine Covers, page 7–14.
8. Install the radiator screen.

4520P Removing the Engine
1. Remove attachments from the machine.
2. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and remove the
key from the ignition.
3. Switch the main circuit breaker to the O
FF position, to de-energize the electrical
system.
4. Turn the fuel shut-off valve to the O
FF position.
5. Disconnect the battery; refer to Removing the Battery, page 6–66.
6. Remove the hood and grill assembly; refer to Removing and Installing the Hood,
page 7–13, Removing and Installing the Grill, page 7–14.
7. Remove the air cleaner system; refer to 4520P Removing and Installing the Air
Cleaner System, page 4–3.
CAUTION
Do not open radiator cap or drain coolant if the radiator or engine is hot.
Pressurized, hot coolant can escape and cause burns.
Ethylene-glycol antifreeze is poisonous. Dispose of coolant properly or store it
in a properly labeled container away from children and pets.
8. Remove the radiator; refer to 4520P Removing the Radiator, page 4–15.
9. Remove the drive shaft; refer to Removing and Installing the Drive Shaft, page 4–
19.
