4520P Removing the Radiator
DANGER
If the radiator or engine is hot, pressurized hot coolant can escape and cause
burns. Do not open the radiator cap or drain the radiator when the radiator or
engine is hot.
WARNING
Ethylene-glycol antifreeze coolant is poisonous. Keep the coolant away from
children and pets. Keep the coolant in a labelled container. Discard the coolant
in accordance with local hazardous waste ordinances.
1. Remove attachments from the machine.
2. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and remove the
key from the ignition.
3. Raise the hood and remove the radiator screen.
4. Remove the left and right engine covers; refer to Removing and Installing the
Engine Covers, page 7–14.
5. Drain the coolant.
6. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses Figure 13. item 1, item 2 from the
radiator.
7. Remove the radiator mounting bolts Figure 13. item 3.
8. Remove the radiator from the machine.
9. Inspect the radiator Figure 13. item 4 isolator mounts and replace as necessary.
