General Engine Information
This chapter gives information about the repair of the Kawasaki gasoline engine used
in the Ventrac 4520P machine. The general maintenance procedures are described
in the Operator’s Manual. Detailed information on engine troubleshooting, testing,
disassembly and assembly are identified in the Kawasaki FD851D engine Service
Manual. Service manuals are available at https://network.ventrac.com/resources/
manuals_engine. The use of some specialized test equipment is explained. However,
the cost of the test equipment and the specialized nature of some repairs may dictate
that the work be done at an engine repair facility.
Service and repair parts for the Kawasaki engine are supplied through your
Authorized Ventrac Dealer.

The Operator’s Manual provides information regarding the operation, general
maintenance, and maintenance intervals for the machine. Refer to the Operator’s
Manual for additional information when servicing the machine.
