Operation 9960 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine
108 06/03/05 MAN091
Hot Weather Operation
Cooling System
The combine is shipped from the factory with
permanent-type 50/50 ethylene glycol
antifreeze in the cooling system. The system
must be clean and in good condition for
operation. Loss of pressure will result in
overheating and lost of coolant.
To maintain the system:
• Leave antifreeze in the cooling system all
year around. If the coolant is lost or
drained, replace it with the correct coolant
and conditioner. (See page 105 for
specific coolant information.)
• Check:
§ Recovery tank coolant level
§ For plugged radiator
§ For leaking hoses
§ For broken fan belt or rotary screen belt
§ That engine fan is at high speed.
• To prevent mineral deposits, do not use
hard water.
• The use of RE23182 Liquid Coolant
conditioner is recommended to protect
against engine and cooling system wear.
Add .9L (one quart) to radiator when
coolant is changed.
Coolant conditioner contains alkali. Avoid
contact with eyes. Do NOT take internally.
In case of contact, immediately wash skin
with soap and water. For eyes, flush with
large amounts of
minutes. Call a physician. Keep out of
reach of children.
