Controls and Adjustments
Picking Control Board
The picking control board adjustment handle
controls the amount of time the vines stay in
the fifth picking cylinder.
The best performance is attained with the
control handle engaged no further than
necessary to remove the peanuts from the
vine. If the control is engaged too far, shelling
will occur and the vines will tear apart
excessively, overloading the disc separator.
Starting Position: Engage the control handle
to the ½ position.
Adjustments: If the vines are brittle, move the
control handle toward disengage for less
aggressive thrashing action. To remove very
small peanuts from bunch type vines clustered
around the tap root or tough conditions, move
the control toward engaged.
Do NOT make this adjustment with the
machine running!
