unlocked with the code before it can be
operated again.
If you choose not to use this feature, the
audio system plays normally and the
receiver is not protected by THEFTLOCK®.
A red light flashes on the receiver whenever
the ignition is turned off, regardless of
whether or not the system is active. The
light is intended to deter thieves.
Activating THEFTLOCK®
Before entering your code and activating the
system, read through all of the steps listed.
1. Select any four-digit number from 0000
to 9999. Write it down and keep it in a
safe place away from your combine.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Turn the receiver off.
4. Press and hold down pushbuttons 1 and
5 at the same time until “---“ displays.
5. Press TUNE/SEEK. 0000 displays.
6. Press SEEK repeatedly until the last two
digits displayed agree with the last two
digits of your selected code.
7. Press TUNE repeatedly until the first
two digits displayed agree with the first
two digits of your selected code.
8. Make sure the code displayed matches
the one you selected.
9. Press BAND. REPEAT displays for you
to confirm your code.
10. Repeat Steps 5-8 to confirm your code.
11. Press BAND. SECURE displays to
show your code has been accepted. If
“---“ displays, the system was not
activated and you will need to repeat
Steps 4-11.
Once your receiver is secured, the receiver
will not operate if battery power is lost.
When you push the receiver POWER button
or turn on the ignition after power has been
interrupted, LOCKED displays on the
receiver.
Unlock the Receiver
To unlock the receiver, enter the code you
selected as follows. It is important that you
not pause more than 15 seconds between
each step.
1. Press TUNE/SEEK. 000 displays.
2. Press SEEK as many times as needed
until the last two digits of your code are
displayed.
3. Press TUNE as many times as needed
until the first two digits of your code are
displayed.
4. Make sure the four digits displayed
match your four-digit code.
5. Press BAND. The display shows
“SECURE,” indicating the radio is
operating and THEFTLOCK® is active.
If “LOCKED” displays, the incorrect
code was entered. Repeat Steps 1-5.
If the wrong code is entered eight times,
“InoP” displays. You MUST wait an
hour with the ignition “ON” before you
can try to unlock the receiver again.
When you try again, you will only have
three more chances to enter the correct
code before “InoP” displays again.
If you lose or forget your code, contact
your AMADAS/John Deere dealer.

If more than 15 seconds elapses
between any of the steps, the receiver
automatically reverts to displaying t
he
time and you must begin again at Step 4.
