Unloading Conveyor 9960 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine
202 06/03/05 MAN091
Before Using the Conveyor
A combine equipped with the Off-load
Conveying System (OCS) option comes
with an unloading conveyor. The conveyor
operates as follows:
The conveyor is controlled from the
multi-function handle in the cab.
Once the conveyor is started, there is a
five-second delay before the two augers
start delivering material to the conveyor.
The five-second delay is factory set, but
you can change the amount of delay
time as needed.
Make sure there is a container
underneath the conveyor whenever it is
turned on. Running the conveyor
without a container will cause you to
dump product on the ground.
Conveyor Safety
It is important to remember the following
safety items when your combine is
equipped with the OCS option:
Always keep in mind the length of the
conveyor and how far out it extends,
even when in the stored position.
Be careful when backing the combine,
as the conveyor extends several feet
past the rear of the combine.
When not using the conveyor, retract it
into its stowed position. Make sure the
conveyor is in place on the conveyor
rest.
Always make sure the conveyor is in the
stowed position when you drive it on a
road.
If necessary, the Quick Stop button on
the armrest panel can be used to stop
the conveyor immediately.
DANGER
NEVER drive on roads with the
conveyor extended. Always make sure
the conveyor is in stowed position on
the conveyor rest before taking it on a
road.
Be aware of th
e length of the conveyor
when traveling. Even when in the
stored position, the conveyor extends
several feet past the
rear of the
combine and presents a substantial
hazard for hitting obstructions.
Take particular care driving around
power lines. Hitt
ing a power line can
cause significant shock or even death
for the combine operator.
NEVER stand or sit on the conveyor
when it is in motion.
NEVER stick your hand or any body
part into any moving part of the
conveyor.
