9960 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine Operator’s Station
MAN091 06/03/05 25
Separator Engage
The separator engage switch turns on the
separator. Push up to turn ON; pull down to
turn OFF. This switch must be off to start the
engine.
The separator should only be engaged at low
idle speed. When the combine is run at high
idle, the separator should be disengaged after
the engine is brought down to mid idle.
Header Engage/Header Reverse
The header engage switch controls the header
auger and pickup. A properly equipped
header must be installed with both hydraulic
and electrical connections made for the
header to operate. The separator must also
be on for the header to function.
For normal field operation, push the header
engage switch forward until it latches. This will
start the header auger and pick-up in a feeding
direction, unless the header release foot is
pressed. If the header reverse foot switch is
pressed while the header is engaged, the
pickup will stop and the header auger will run
in the direction opposite of feeding.
