Hydro Linkage Adjustment
If the combine “creeps” with the hydrostatic
drive control lever in neutral, then adjust as
follows:
1. Place the hydrostatic drive control lever in
neutral.
2. Remove the ball joint from the pump arm
(be certain the pump arm is in neutral
[spring loaded detent]).
3. Turn ball joint off or on rod until ball joint
stud will pass freely into arm hole. Do
NOT move the arm from its neutral
position.
4. If the adjustment at the ball joint (the fine
thread end) is not adequate, adjust the
coarse thread end using the cable
bulkhead jam nuts (A), (B), (C). Make sure
that adequate thread remains in the ball
joint and that all hardware is tightened.
5. If creeping still occurs, see your
AMADAS/John Deere dealer.
CAUTION
The c
ontrol cable is designed and
assembled to be non-
repairable. Do NOT
attempt to modify or repair cable;
replace if
damaged or contaminated.
Do NOT adjust or install a
control cable
with the engine running, as the
machine
may move. Shut off engine and remove
key.
