Rear Axle Adjustment
The axle is adjustable to let the rear tires
track the drive tires.
1. Jack up one end of the axle (A).
2. Remove bolts (B), cylinder bolts, and tie
rod bolts (C).
3. Loosen the power steering hose clamps
(D) to adjust hoses. Store extra hose in
the axle frame.
4. Tighten clamps after moving hoses.
5. If the combine is equipped with a 4-wheel
drive:
a. Loosen the hose clamp (G) and hose
tie strap.
b. Pull enough hose through the clamp
to be able to reposition the axle.
c. Tighten the clamp and tie strap after
moving the axle.
6. Refer to the Drive Spacing chart on the
following page and position axle to correct
width. The tie rod holes will go in or out
the same amount of holes and align
correctly.
7. Place bolts back in correct holes. A drift
may be needed to align axle holes and
start upper bolts.
8. Torque cap screws to 620 N*m (460 lb/ft).
9. Repeat on other side.
A – Axle
B – Bolts
C – Tie Rod Bolts
D – Hose Clamp
E – Hose Tie Strap
When you change axle widths, the rear
frame of the combine must be raised and
blocked properly.
