ELEVATOR FAN
If the elevator fan runs at less than 85% of its
normal speed, the yellow light comes on and
the buzzer sounds steadily. Stop engine,
inspect driver, and look for plugging. The
drive belt may be slipping and need tightening
or replacement. Check for heat in the pulleys
and worn belts.
DISC SEPARATOR
If the disc separator is running at less than
85% of its normal speed, the yellow light
comes on and the buzzer sounds steadily.
The header drive must be on and the operator
must be in the seat. Stop the engine, inspect
drives, slip clutch, and look for plugging. The
stemmer bottom could be plugged, which
usually results from a broken disc separator
drive chain.
PICKING CYLINDERS
If the picking cylinders are running at less than
85% of their normal speed, the yellow light
comes on and the buzzer sounds steadily.
The header drive must be on and the operator
must be in the seat. Stop the engine, inspect
the drives, and look for plugging. The
combine may be bogging excessively and the
main drive belt may be slipping.
