Towing the Combine
1. Empty basket and remove header.
2. Fold in bin lip extension. If equipped with
OCS, swing in the conveyor.
3. Swing ladder to the front of the tire and fold
down radio antenna.
4. Disengage parking brake; make sure brake
pedals are latched together ((A), top
photo).
5. Place gear shift and hydrostatic drive
control lever in neutral (middle and
bottom).
6. Make sure a driver is in the operator’s set
to steer and brake the combine.
7. Tow in the forward direction by attaching a
chain around the main axle. Be certain the
chain will not damage any hydraulic lines.
8. Travel at a safe and reasonable speed, not
to exceed 8km/h (5 MPH).
IMPORTANT!
Do
NOT
tow the combine
except in an emerge
ncy for a short
distance at 8 km/hr (5 MPH).
CAUTION
Do NOT remove front drive axle
couplers.
When couplers are removed, brakes are
disabled.
CAUTION
Do NOT tow combine with wire
rope. If the
rope breaks, the whipping action could
cause bodily injury.
IMPORTANT!
Do
NOT
exceed 8 km/hr (5
MPH) as the transmission pump is not
in
use
and exceeding this speed could
damage the transmission.
