General Operation
Starting the Engine
1. Locate the following switches on the
armrest control panel:
A - Multi-function handle (A)
B - 10% Speed Reduction Knob (B)
C - Engine Speed Control (C)
D - Separator Switch (D)
E - Header Switch (E)
2. Move the multi-function handle to neutral.
3. Turn the black 10% speed reduction knob
clockwise.
4. Place the engine speed control switch in
the slow idle position (press “turtle” button).
5. Turn the yellow separator switch off (center
position).
6. Turn the yellow header switch off (center
position).
CAUTION
If the combine can be started with the
multi-function handle, separ
ator switch or
header switch set to “ON,” the starting
system needs diagnosing. See your
AMADAS/John Deere dealer.
WARNING
Engine exhaust fumes can cause sickness
or death. We do NOT
recommend
running the engine in an enclosed area.
