Safety Practices
DRIVE THE COMBINE SAFELY
§ Do NOT operate the combine unless all
guards and/or shields are fitted and in their
correct positions.
§ Before driving away, check immediate
vicinity of machine for bystanders. Use the
horn as a warning immediately before
driving away.
§ Attach the header to combine with extreme
care.
KEEP RIDERS OFF OF THE MACHINE
§ Do NOT allow riders on the machine. Only
the operator should be on the machine at
any time during operation.
§ Riders are subject to injury, such as being
thrown off of the machine. They also
obstruct the operator’s view, resulting in
unsafe operating conditions.
§ On machines equipped with a passenger
seat, one rider is permitted.
AVOID ELECTRICAL POWER LINES
§ Secure the radio aerial and bin lip
extension in transport position before
driving on public roads.
§ If equipped with unload-on-the-go, make
sure the conveyor is completely pulled in
and secured before driving on public
roads.
§ AVOID electrical lines, particularly low-
hanging electrical cables.
Contact with electrical lines will cause the
operator to suffer severe electrical shock
or possibly death.
Make sure all guards and shields are in place
.
