❑ The tapered holes and the contact surfaces on the outer circumference of the wheel bearing must be
free of oil, grease and preserving agent.
❑ If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

❑ Always replace if removed.
❑ Before assembling, coat contact surface with Assembly Paste .
20 - Self-Locking Nut
❑ 85 Nm
❑ Always replace if removed.
21 - Self-Locking Nut
❑ 150 Nm + 90°
❑ Always replace if removed.
22 - Bolt
❑ Always replace if removed.
23 - Self-Locking Nut

24 - Upper Control Arm
❑ Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.

❑ Colors: front left - purple; front right - green.

❑ Replace connector piece if leaking, refer to ⇒ “4.3 Connecting Piece, Replacing”, page 224 .
29 - Connector piece
❑ 5 Nm
❑ Always observe tightening specification!
❑ Only remove if vehicle is raised and air spring damper is unloaded (otherwise, there is a risk of injury
from lowering vehicle).
❑ Service the air line if there are leaks, refer to ⇒ “4.2 Air Line, Servicing”, page 223 or replace the con‐
nection ⇒ “4.3 Connecting Piece, Replacing”, page 224 .
❑ Clean connections before loosening.
❑ Air escapes when connections are unscrewed.
