13.1.1 About Content settings
Location & access
Menu: Configuration > Media server > Content
Level: Administrator, Service technician
Overview
This panel allows to manage connected content devices.
The content settings window allows to configure the list of servers, remote directories and libraries where the
content is stored. All these assets will be called 'devices'.
Terms used in the server list.
Content Device/Server
name
Readable name of the remote device/server.
Protocol Protocol used for communication and transfer with the remote device / server:
• FTP: File Transfer Protocol
• NFS: Network File System (for Unix like systems)
• SMB: Server Message Block (for Windows and Unix like systems using
Samba)
IP/Hostname IP address of the remote device/server in the theater network.
Port Port number used for communication
Login Login used by the ICMP-X to establish communication with the remote device.
Password Password used by the ICMP-X to establish communication with the remote
device.
Path/Remote path Path where the contents are stored on the remote device/server.
Parameters Parameters used by the ICMP-X to establish communication with the remote
device.
13.1.2 Create a new content device
Location & access
Menu: Configuration > Media server > Content
Level: Administrator, Service technician
How to create
1. While in Configuration > Media sever > Content, click on the top right on the + (reference 1) to create a
new device.
