5.4.5.6 Operation 49. Washing the coarse fuel filter
Wash coarse fuel filter 3 (figure 5.4.14) in the following sequence:
- shut both taps 1, 7 (figure 2.22.1) of fuel tanks;
- unscrew nuts of bolts that fasten the bowl;
- remove cup 5 (figure 5.4.49);
- unscrew rejector with grid 4 using a wrench;
- remove diffuser 3;
- wash the rejector with grid 4, diffuser 3, filter bowl in diesel fuel and install them in
place.

After washing the coarse fuel filter, it is necessary to replace the fine fuel filter and fill
the system with fuel (prime the fuel system) in accordance with clause 5.4.5.7
5.4.5.7 Operation 50. Replacing the fuel fine filter. Filling the fuel system with fuel
The replacement of the fine fuel filter is carried out immediately after washing the
coarse fuel filter.
Fuel fine filter 3 (figure 5.4.50) is installed on engine 1, on the left side along the tractor.
